At Carrus Care, our mission is to transform healthcare through hope and healing, focusing on the mind, body, and spirit of every child and teen we serve.

To support this mission, Carrus Behavioral Health offers the Carrus Care Programs — Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) — designed for children and teens ages 8–17 who need a higher level of care than traditional therapy, but not inpatient hospitalization.

Often called “Day Treatment,” our structured Monday–Friday programs provide 6–8 weeks of therapeutic and educational support. Each day includes individual, group, and family therapy, along with psychiatric care and collaboration with local school districts to ensure academic continuity. Teens return home each evening to apply what they’ve learned, then receive real-time feedback the next day to reinforce growth and skill-building.

Our programs can serve as a step-down from inpatient care or a step-up from standard outpatient therapy. We proudly offer both a Faith-Based Program and a Care Program, giving families the flexibility to choose the environment that best fits their needs.
At Carrus, our goal is to empower kids and teens with the tools to manage life’s challenges, build confidence, and move forward with resilience. To learn more or schedule a free, same-day assessment, call 469-200-5353 — because healing starts with hope.
Family Packet
We understand weekends without treatment or the support of a therapist can be difficulty. On Fridays, Carrus sends home a Parenting Packet with each child. These packets provide patient progress, programmatic updates, and highlights strategies to address behaviors and facilitate conversation. This helps our families and patients apply techniques and skills in real life scenarios, TOGETHER.

Communication
Our therapist understand that not all children thrive in a group setting. We are the only PHP/IOP that offers individual therapy and family therapy as a standard practice.
Education
Carrus understands the importance of education and the impact of mental health. We offer a substantial amount of time for education, that exceeds industry standard. Prior to admission and upon discharge, staff meets with school personnel to identify strengths and needs. This communication fosters a smooth transition and minimizes the impact to your child’s education. As advocates we can provide innovative 504 and IEP recommendations.
Continuation
Preadmission and post discharge planning directly with families, school staff, and other providers/facilities helps to create continuum care which fosters our mission of overall success for children.
